MEET THE MUSIC TEACHER

Hello Parents!
My name is Rachel Kraft, and I am overjoyed to be teaching your child music this year.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I have recently graduated from William Jessup University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology, and have been studying music for over ten years now. I grew up in Clovis, Ca as a farm girl, and have recently gotten married and had the amazing opportunity to move to the beautiful beach town of Capitola. I am passionate about music, backpacking the outdoors and surfing with my husband! I am a member of Twin Lakes Church and serve on the worship team. I am honored to not only be teaching the joys of music to your son or daughter but to share the power of music as worship.
WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO
This year I will be focusing each month on a different topic of music, such as musical notation, instruments, songwriting, and many more exciting topics. Each month I will be sending an update to the teachers of what we have been learning and some of the fun activities we have been up to in class. This way you can see what your child is learning about music, and maybe have a conversation with them about it at home! My goal is to instill a joy for music in your child and give them a creative outlet for them to express themselves. I cannot wait for all of the fun we are going to have learning about music!
