Quarter 4 Week 4: April 29 – May 3, 2019

We had a great field trip on Tuesday. I was so proud of how the students really listened and worked hard on each task they were given. If you have pictures from that day please send those into the office or one of us teachers! Also, if you have a chance to give a brief follow up email, that would be much appreciated. Quarter 4 Week 2: April 15-18, 2019

This is the week most elementary kids LOVE!! It’s testing week. Most kids love this week because of the gum or mints, treats and lack of homework. But this is also a heavy week. Testing itself is not very fun! In class we have been repeating “do your best, get your rest and eat a good breakfast” and that’s all that is asked of them! I encourage you, parents, as well. Just relax and get your rest this week!

Wednesday is our annual “growing bodies” or adolescence talk. If you haven’t had a chance to check out the website, talk with your student about this class and sign the form, please do so as soon as possible. It really will help us teachers plan accordingly! Thank you!

Save the date: A field trip to the Second Harvest Food Bank is coming up on April 23rd. Permission slips will be emailed shortly.

Quarter 4 Week 1: April 8-12, 2019

I hope you all had a relaxing and fun spring break.

This quarter is another short quarter; it’s only 8.5 weeks! However, we have many things we will be learning and our big state project will be completed this quarter! So many exciting things!

Fourth quarter is when we start grading cursive. We worked on cursive all of third quarter and many of the students have been given extra worksheets to practice. This quarter the spelling for the first 2 weeks and Bible and history (except on maps) will be in cursive. This might slow some of the students down, so look for more Bible and history work coming home this quarter.
