One week until Christmas. We are all so excited. The kids have been busy learning songs to present to you at the CCC on Tuesday (2pm in the sanctuary) and making fun Christmas items in class. However, we are also finishing up various units in class and that means tests. If you are planning on missing any days this week, please let us know as soon as possible. We would like to get the tests all done so no one worries about them over the long break! Thank you!

We are planning a party for fifth grade next week. If you missed out on bringing something for the Thanksgiving party and want to bring something for this next party please email me. I will in turn email you back with what you can bring. Thank you in advance for the help!

Science projects have been declared. I am looking forward to how these projects turn out. I told my kids today that if they are ready to start research they may do some this weekend, however I will be teaching them how they will do research on Monday so waiting is perfectly fine. However, they may NOT start the experiment until after their research is conducted. Please remind them and help them hold to the scientific method of:

  1. question

What a great field trip. We learned, we laughed and we all made it safely home. I am very thankful to our drivers and chaperones for making this such a great experience!

Now that we are filled with good science ideas we are going to start working on our science fair projects. Your student will be bringing home the science packet explaining all the details that they need. Please review the packet and help your child make a wise topic request. Requests are due Tuesday.  Below are some sites you can go to for some ideas. I highly recommend the science buddies site (the last on this list) if you have no idea how to even start choosing a topic.
