This is a big week for us. The field trip that many of the kids have been looking forward to is happening! And the not as exciting, but certainly important, adolescence talk is happening this week. Thank you all for having both permission slips done and turned in early for me!

Field Trip Info.: Student’s are asked to bring a packed lunch (disposable is preferred) and nothing else. There are plenty of water fountains around the park. Please don’t bring a backpack or anything else with  you. Please have your student dress appropriately for a whole day outside in Felton. I recommend layers. It usually is chilly in the morning and very warm in the afternoon. I also recommend comfortable shoes. The students will be walking A LOT all day long!

Please note the schedule below. It is a tight one with traffic issues on Highway 1, so please help us by being on time and prepared.

Week 34: May 8-12

Every year the fifth graders take over chapel to “teach” the other students about the men and women of the Old Testament. It is a fun event, but also very special for the younger students. On Monday your student will be given their character. They will spend time in class all week studying their man or woman and preparing a 1-2 minute speech from that person’s point of view. On Thursday, at 2:25, they will present their characters in a mass “wax museum” type of presentation. You are welcome to come in to encourage them and learn more about the fantastic people we’ve been learning about this year.

Permissions slips went home this week for an upcoming field trip and our adolescence talk. If you haven’t signed it, please do so and return it by Thursday, May 11th. If you have further questions, please feel free to email me. The field trip to Roaring Camp is a limited field trip. We are only allowed a certain number of chaperones/drivers, so it is first come, first served for this field trip.
