Week 17: December 19-23, 2016

Yes, we do have one more week of school! I had several students try to tell me “Goodbye and Merry Christmas”, and showed some disappointment when I said I’d see them Monday morning! But, good news is there is only 4.5 days left before a long break! And can you believe we are in week 17? This year is flying by. It’s fun to remind the students how much they’ve learned this year already!

There is still a lot going on this week, so please continue to encourage your students to eat right and get lots of rest! We need to stay healthy and strong to celebrate the birth of Jesus next week!

Week 15: December 5-9, 2016

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. That is not jusy a song that I like to sing, but it is really true! I love this season because it reminds me that Jesus chose to humble himself and become a baby born in a barn. No matter what is happening in the world or my life I know that I can trust this God who literally moved heaven and earth to be with me. Nothings is better than that! Our fantastic kids get an opportunity to share that joy and awe as they lead us in singing some carols Friday. Please try to come and sing with us in the sanctuary at 2 PM this Friday. Your children will be available for pick up and to share cookies with you after the concert is over at 3 PM!

We have begun our season of science! I am so excited this year for the science fair! I have already seen such creativity and enthusiasm in the question requests. Be sure to take a look at the science packet that was brought home Thursday. And please get your student his or her science journal as soon as possible! They will begin the research this week!!
