I do hope you all have a fantastic week off and are able to thoroughly enjoy family time.

Thank you for getting your field trip forms in so early. This field trip is going to be a great time for the students to begin preparing for their science fair projects. I am also blessed by the number of parents who volunteered to chaperone. I have never had such a great response to a field trip before. Unfortunately, this field trip only allows a certain number of adults. I had to take first come, first serve on this one. However, I will remember who wanted to go and wasn’t able to for our next field trip! That being said, I’d like to thank Domanik’s mom, Summer’s mom, Max’s mom, Ashley’s mom, and Victoria’s mom for driving to the Tech museum. If any of you five are unable to drive, I have your back-ups excited to take the roll!

When we return to school on November 28th, we will begin discussing science fair projects. We will talk about what makes a good experiment. We will also look at last year’s runner up projects and visit the third grade classes to see their finished projects. If you are in the mood to begin discussing them this week you can take a look at the following sites for general ideas…

Week 12 November 7-10

We have a few exciting things happening in our class this week. First off, we will begin our cursive practice. Please be looking for practice sheets to start coming home at the end of the week.

Also, the Acts of Kindness chapel is this Thursday. Please be sure your child has done their chore and brings the money in to me or the school office as soon as possible. You are welcome to join us as we thank the IT and Maitenance Departments this Thursday at 2:25 in the amphitheater.

Additionally, the Tech Museum Field Trip has been scheduled. Mark your calendars, we will be going November 30th. I will be sending out permission slips and chaperone information next week. I only have a certain number of spaces for chaperones for this trip.

Finally, your students are also starting to learn their songs for the Carols, Cookies and Cocoa concert in December. Just ignore them as they sing Christmas songs in November (even though I personally have already started, since I love Christmas so much!!).
